I’m not normally the type to write reviews, however, I’ve stayed at high end all inclusive resorts in the past and this one just didn’t meet the same standard. Our fridge did not work upon check in to our room, we had to call and talk to 5 different people and threaten to leave before it was fixed the next day. There was very much the attitude of “someone else will take care of that for you”. Overall, the food was good... the fish tacos at the little bar down by the beach were some of the best I’ve had. It was difficult to get reservations for the specialty restaurants (even though the resort was very low census and most restaurants were only half full each night). We did eat at the steak house and were not overly impressed. The pool was very warm... almost too warm for the weather but the beach was great. We paid for an ocean front junior suite and the room was very mediocre. Small and no bathtub like advertised. The bed was not comfortable either and our tv didn’t work the first night. We attended the sales pitch to join their vacation “club”... our sales person was terrible, probably the worst sales person I’ve ever talked to, but we did get a round of golf and a massage out of the deal. The golf course is AMAZING and the massage was excellent as well. We ventured outside the resort most days into the smaller surrounding towns. Sayulita is a MUST! We will return there. Overall, vacation is still vacation, but we will not stay at another Iberostar.
