Welcome home to this prime Bethany area condo! Close to PCC Rock Creek campus and amazing outdoor recreation fields. Perfect for employees of Nike or Intel visiting for meetings and projects or travelers without a car. In your free time visit forest park, the zoo, green space trails, top golf and other nearby courses, shopping, dining and THPRD. One hour from the coast. 5min drive to Bethany village and Streets of Tanasbourne. 20min drive to downtown. 3rd floor walk up for quiet, peaceful space with vaulted ceilings and lots of natural light. The space is quiet and calm. Vaulted ceilings and big windows allow for lots of natural light and help give a cozy yet uplifting, spacious vibe. Full kitchen with dishes and cooking supplies for cost saving break from restaurant meals when you just want to relax and unwind in the comfort of home. Comfortable couch to lounge and recline after a long day of travel, work or play. Extra throw blankets to curl up with a good book and cup of coffee or wine. Parking on site is free. Easy access to hwy 26 (5min away) toward downtown or the coast. My best suggestion for getting around town is to download the Trimet app to check the bus schedule. The “max” is our light rail and super convenient for heading downtown and to the airport. Uber and Lyft are very easy to get for ridesharing. To save money coming from the airport, I personally get on the max and go to the sunset transit center ($2.50) and then I order Uber/Lyft the rest of the way (about $12-16). Some recommendations I like to give my guests new to the area are these... Groceries: Albertsons and QFC are where I do my grocery shopping close by. Trader Joe's and Safeway are just a bit farther, but still convenient. I get my nails done at ultimate nails in the Albertsons village shopping area. I get my dry cleaning done at the same village. There’s also a place there to get a haircut, coffee, and a dessert shop. Food/drinks: I like to grab a drink or maybe dinner at Bethany Public House. Rock creek corner is within walking distance and has great food and drinks, a beautiful outdoor dining space and corn hole in the summer. Allens is a little Mexican restaurant run by a local family who's youngest son is in class with my son at school the oldest son is so great at managing the restaurant. They make great cocktails too. The parents run the kitchen and make delicious authentic food! Coffee is best at Insomnia coffee on Cornell, and has a great coffee house vibe. Awesome place to do laptop type work away from home. Biscuits and Crispy Creme are good breakfast options, but if I go out, I love Jim and Patty's for coffee and breakfast. It's a portland classic with so much history and charm. Get the "Pig Newtons!" Its more of a drive into beaverton though. If you're not from around here, (or if you have a McMennamins passport) they are a popular brewery with tons of charm and history, Imbre hall is close, and its beautiful to walk around the grounds no matter what time of year. They have great fire pits to keep warm in winter and beautiful shade in summer. I hear my location is close to 6 different passport stamps! Green space/sports: PCC rock creek campus has awesome athletic fields, both turf and grass, tennis courts, walking paths and even an archery range. Weekends and evenings it's fun to walk over there (across the street) and be a part of the local sports atmosphere. Portland timbers are wildly popular and play in providence park. (I'd drive to the sunset transit center and take the max in). The portland trailblazers play at the Moda center. Hillsboro hops play about 10 minutes away and ron Tonkin field is also close by. Top golf is 10 min away There are a dozen golf courses close by too. Shopping: Streets of Tanasbourne and Bethany village are filled with shopping and dining options. Eats/drinks further from the house: Voodoo donuts is a portland classic. Portland City Grill has the best views of the city at night. Departure Bar is pretty great too and has both outdoor and indoor bars at the top of the Nines hotel. The Porter hotel is just as stunning for rooftop drinks/dining. For a great divey sports bar I personally love Blitz Ladd in southeast. Lots of bar games like giant Jenga and connect four (ask them to bring it out), pool, darts, cornhole... Outdoors: Hiking in Forest park is a Portland must! As well as traversing some of our beautiful bridges. Sauvie’s Island is so great for beaches and local produce (U-pick or farm stand) in the summer, in the fall they have great harvest activities and pumpkin patches. The St Johns bridge is iconic Portland. Seaside is a popular beach and is about 45 minutes away. My kids and I will often take day trips there year-round.
