Water front canal home. We call our home the Turtle Nest where you can come to rest. No need to look at another space because in Hudson this house is in first place. Our home is updated, fully furnished and decorated with beach house charm. Inside space If you are looking for a vacation or Snow Bird rental in Florida, here it is. The atmosphere of this home is cozy, beachy, fun, with a splash of good taste and class. This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 car garage home lays out over 1,360 sq. ft. of living space. The comfortable living room is open to the dining area which connects to the kitchen with a large granite bar for seating. There is a nice desk with a lamp and electric for a complete workspace. The living room has a 50” TV and the Master Bedroom has a 40” TV both equipped with Roku. The guest room has a 32” TV with a DVD player. The home can comfortably sleep 7 people with the following accommodations: Master Bedroom- King Size Bed Guest Room- Twin/Full/Twin Bunk Bed (twin up top, full on bottom and twin trundle underneath) Living Room- Queen Size Pull Out Sofa WiFi included. Smoke free home. Outside Space The front yard has been freshly landscaped and the driveway can hold two cars (1 car may also fit in the garage). The back yard is completely fenced in and there is a floating dock complete with swim ladder. You can bring your own boat and you are welcome to use our canoe and kayak for no additional charge. Life jackets and paddles are also available. Parts of the gulf can get very shallow during low tides. We've done our best to put together a few navigation maps so that you can safely navigate a boat to and from the house. The canal winds through the mangroves and is only a 10 minute paddle or 5 minute idle to the open water of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. You can sit in the fabulous sun room and enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine with a view of the water. You may even get lucky and see Barbara the Manatee who likes to swim in the canal. The neighborhood is fun to walk in with many nice houses to sight see down the canal. Things to Do: There are many things available close by like fishing, boating, sailing, sightseeing, antiquing, golfing, flea market hunting, horseback riding, nature hiking, kayaking, water skiing, swimming, shelling, gambling on the Sun Cruise Casino Boat and more. Local Attractions: Hudson Beach is a small, quaint beach conveniently located just over 1 mile away. There are restaurants close by for eating out and the closest grocery store is less than 1 mile away for dining in. Night life can be found close by at places like Get Hooked Grill, Ollie’s On The Beach, Sam’s Beach Bar and Fisherman's Shack. A stay with us wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the locally famous Hudson Ice Cream parlor located less than 1 mile away. If you choose to venture a little down the road you will find some nationally and internationally famous attractions. A 5 minute drive to the North will take you to a fun water play park called SunWest Park. An additional 15 minute drive North will land you at Weekee Wachi Springs where you can watch the world famous mermaid show. Even further North you could venture to Homosassa Springs to see the manatees, or visit the historic cities of Brooksville and Dade City. If you choose to travel South, a 30 minute drive will land you in the world famous Sponge Docks of Tarpon Spring. An additional 30 minutes South will take you to some of the world famous beaches in Clearwater and St. Petersburg. Other popular attractions within 2 hours drive time include: Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Disney World, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, and the Kennedy Space Center. Interaction with guests: Home owners are available directly via cell phone to guests. Other things to note: There is an active exterior surveillance system for added security. Bonus features you might appreciate: There is a water hose run to the dock. We also have a basic propane grill in the backyard available for use. Propane is available at the local Winn Dixie, should the bottle be empty. Lastly, there is a crock pot that you have access to along with a pack-and-play for the little one.Air-conditioned accommodations at this vacation home offer hair dryers and irons/ironing boards. Microwaves and coffee/tea makers are provided.
