      Halibut Hole cabin

Just what I needed. Quiet and peaceful. Right on the water.

      5/5 Excellent

        A world away...

I stayed in both the Codfish cottage and Halibut Hole due to scheduling issues (mine). They are both adorable. Sweet decor, very clean, EXTREMELY comfortable beds and plenty of kitchen tools. The appliances look old as can be but worked great. The cabins are old and would be considered ‘rustic’ but I guarantee you will never get closer to the water-right up to the deck in high tide. By rustic I basically mean you can just tell they’ve been there a while. Incredibly quiet, nothing but wind, waves and the sound of tumbling stones in the water (also otters seals eagles and passing ships. Bring your binoculars) I was there during a heat wave in the area and the temps down on the water were at least 10 degrees cooler than the top of the hill. The location is waaay out there but really centrally located at the very top of the peninsula, and it’s a ‘scenic byway’ drive to the site. PS there’s a charging station for ‘devices’ in the office if you just can’t unplug. I had access to email, websites etc, just no WiFi so burned up some data minutes. Phone service is fine. It’s a bit spendy but the experience is priceless if you’re looking for a tranquil getaway.

        5/5 Excellent

          Beautiful cabin overlooking the Straight

This cabin was everything that we could have hoped for! Clean and everything was in great working order. Beautiful views and quite literally feet from the water (during high tide). I absolutely fell in love with this spot. Very accommodating, especially bringing three dogs with us! Staff at check in desk were super sweet and helpful. I can’t wait to come back.

          5/5 Excellent

            Tastefully Rustic

Great location and cool cabin (wood burning stove and oil lamps - how cool!). Easy access to Crescent Lake and Olympic National Park. Really enjoyed having such a great view of the stars and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. As an unexpected plus, Tim was very understanding when we broke one of the lamp chimneys and a bowl. He said the chimneys are about $6 to replace, and he wasn't going to worry about the bowl. Would love to come again.

            4/5 Good

              Beautiful, rustic and soothing.

Beautiful views and great location. Loved the rustic feel but loved having running water. Not glamping but much better than tent camping. Very clean and comfortable. Host was friendly and helpful.
