The location is beautiful. The house itself is OK but needs LOTS of updating and repairs.
The first thing I noticed when we entered the house is how desperately it needs to be repainted. There are at least 25 large chips in the paint throughout the house where you can see the bare sheetrock. The master bathroom has a missing light fixture - the bulb is there, but no fixture. The toilet seat in the same bathroom looks to be about 20 years old - lots of wear! On our first day there, my wife called to have one of the beds repaired as it was literally about to fall apart. She also had the shower curtain replaced in the master bathroom. It was beyond cleaning from all the mold and bacteria on it. We had the housekeeper come to the house to wash one of the comforters, because we found it dirty when we arrived. The bedding, pillows, and linens are WORN OUT! One sheet has tears and stains and the pillows are so flat, they provide almost no support. Two of the dining room chairs are broken and the recliner in the living room is also broken. The kitchen has some decent cookware but the dishes, silverware, and plasticware are old and worn and need to be replaced. One plastic bowl we pulled out had a large crack in it. The plastic colander is melted where it was partially burned. We definitely will never stay in this home again, and we don't recommend it to anyone else either. The leasing company (Team Pagosa) was very accommodating. They were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay.
