Swimming in a Not-So-Hot Bathtub
After staying at a different resort last year, and loving having so much space, we booked another villa for our trip this year. We had a ground-floor, corner villa, which was very quiet. Parking was never a problem, even at night. The villa is very large, with a big kitchen, dining room, small living room, secondary bed and bath, large master, and large master bath. Closets are sufficient for what we needed. The master bed was a spring king (not tempur). Pillows were soft but comfy. Couches in LR were adequate ( I think they're sleepers?). The BATHTUB, though! It's a HUGE monstrosity with a waterfall faucet that could (and did) fit two large adults for soaking. The only problem? The in-room water heater didn't have enough hot water to fill the tub, so I was only able to fill the tub about halfway before it began to get too cool. The entire villa is either tile or wood laminate floors, which is easy for clean-up, but caused me to be cold the entire time (I would bet the subfloor is concrete). BUT that also helps because the AC didn't need to stay on as much. On one day of our trip, we noticed a HUGE ponding of water, and upon our return to our room a few hours later, it looked like it was coming from another villa... an hour or so after that, as I was going to swim in the tub, the water to the villa was off for a few hours. We never got a call. Lastly, be patient with the WiFi. You have to go to a website before you can log in. All in all, I'd stay again!
