WORST STAY EVER
Worst stay EVER!!! We have used Hotel.com many times, but after this last trip we will go back to Hotwire.com! The outside of the hotel looked nice, looked kept up, the lobby was nice too. We walked to our room #129, the hallway carpet was filthy and stained. Yes, they were remodeling but they could have vacuumed. One night there was a bag of garbage (food containers) that was left outside a door from 8pm until 8am. We got to our room, it was for a handicap which was ok, the carpet was torn and dirty, the walls needed painting, it looked like someone did some touch-up in spots, but it made it look worse. The TV was damaged, had black spots behind the screen, hard to watch. There was no counter next to the sink in the bathroom, there was room even if you had a wheelchair. The light fixture in the bathroom was very rusty and gorse looking. The pool, spa, exercise room and the room where you can get sodas and snacks from vending machine were ALL closed for remodeling!!! When you travel all day getting into the pool and sitting in the spa is something you look forward to, YOU should have mentioned it on the website that these were closed. I have never filled out a survey but to spend $186.62 especially at Christmas time and have such a terrible stay brought me to fill this one out. P.S. I wish I would have taken pictures to post so management and the Wingate could see.
