CHECK-IN TIME: 4:00 PM CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00 AM ADDRESS: 2113 MAIN ST./US ROUTE 62, Winesburg, OH 44690 (for direction on how to find this address, please scroll down to "Location") Within minutes from Berlin, Sugar Creek, Millersburg, and Charm, Ohio, The Chestnut Barn is located in the heart of Amish country in the quaint and historic farming town of Winesburg, Ohio. Approximately 7 miles from the bustling tourist area (Berlin), the Chestnut Barn provides a true picture of Amish life in Holmes County. Surrounded by farms and rolling hills, long walks are a wonderful experience. Although our little town does not even boast a traffic light, you will be just steps away from the Winesburg Park which has a large playground and picnic pavilion. A few steps in the other direction is our historic general store. Not only will you find a deli serving Amish meats and cheeses, our general store also has a carry out which serves a varied menu that includes the area's most popular pizza, roasted chicken, and a full service ice cream shop. Amish restaurants and shops are just a short drive in any direction. Please be advised that even though it is quite a spacious house, it is not suitable for small children or the elderly. It is not handicap accessible. On the main (ground) floor the downstairs bedroom is one step down from the rest of the floor (not quite evident in pictures) and the shower room is also one step bellow the main level. For people using a walker or a wheelchair, we regret to inform you that unfortunately this is not an ideal property to rent. Located In the back yard of a c.1830 (chestnut) log house, this recently transformed barn has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a giant kitchen and a great room which can be used for gatherings, seminars, or group meetings and fun get togethers. 5/5 Excellent

The place was very well kept and clean. Very spacious and great for larger groups of people.

A group of teachers from my school spent the weekend here touring the Amish Country. Will definitely go back. Really appreciated the owners checking in from time to time to see if we needed anything.

    Wonderful stay

We were looking for a relaxing weekend away with friends, and we got exactly that in this beautiful, and spacious home. Every amenity that we needed was provided. The home was very quiet considering that it was located right off the main street. The home owner, Alex, couldn't have been any nice and accommodating to us when we had a need priory to our stay. Unfortunately, we even had to bother him because we had locked ourselves out and he seemed perfectly fine with letting us back in. This is the perfect home away from home for visiting the Amish country.

Great location for our family to unwind.

When we arrived, it was rainy and cold, but the barn was so warm and inviting. My family as well as two sisters and their families were looking for a quick weekend getaway where we could relax. This was the perfect spot for us. I will definitely try to book here again the next time we come to Amish Country.

    Perfect spot

This was the perfect place for our ladies' wkend, we loved hanging out. Very spacious and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

    Perfect for large group!

I held our women’s retreat there. There were 9 of us. Large open space for gathering for bible sessions. Very comfortable sleeping (even the fold out couches)! The owner was super nice and he even unloaded our vehicles for us as it was raining when we arrived. I was truly impressed! It was stocked with more than enough linens and toiletries, cleaning supplies and kitchen pans, dishes etc! I highly recommend it!
