Cabins in the woods.
Family reunion. We actually rented both cabins. Postives; Rustic location with nature immediately outside your door. Conducive to family time and conveniently located to grocery stores in the area (travel time about 30 min each way). Our group numbered 29 and included infants, toddlers, along with young adults and mature individuals. We enjoyed being able to gather for family time. The bedrooms were well appointed and the decor was warm and inviting. The wrap-around porch was great for early morning coffee and peaceful quiet and we enjoyed the large fire pit. Areas for Improvement: One of the cabins does not have laundry accessible to guests. We were there for a week with 16 people in that cabin and this was problematic. Property management made an exception and allowed us access. Path connecting the two cabins needs attention. It has mulch placed on top of plastic that became very slippery when it rained. There was some minor issues with some of the beds. The supports for the beds were not firmly attached and the beds would shift when you sat down on them. Another point of interest is the phone cell service. Reception is poor and WiFi was spotty at times. Our main point of contact was via VRBO app and with no cell or WiFi, we had to drive 15 minutes to find signal to relay issues Overall: We enjoyed our time would recommend the properties for anyone looking to have a quiet, peaceful space to reconnect with family and friends.
