    Unique Holiday Stay

    It was a nice stay & check in ways excellent. I enjoyed the activities, although I felt the prices were too high for the offerings. I also found some staff members to be be very customer service oriented & others were lacking proper training. Overall a fun stay & would recommend.

    Disappointing

    The hotel was way understaffed for the amount of visitors attending. You would wait anywhere from a half an hour to an hour to eat, get a cup of coffee, or longer if you wanted to participate in an activity. The atrium was beautiful but difficult to navigate with thousands of visitors in each and every corner of the building. The highlight of the trip was the carriage ride around the lighted landscaping and nativity scene. The room itself was very bland and amenities such as the mini fridge were not working. We were provided with one bar of soap for five people and the carpeting in the room itself stunk of a mildew type of odor. Everything in the hotel was grossly overpriced. While the decorations for Christmas were very awe inspiring, it was far too busy and crowded to really take in and enjoy. Seating was scarcely available. All in all it was beautiful but not worth the money spent nor the time spent navigating and waiting to do anything there.

    Luxury hotel price with budget hotel service

    Just got back from our stay at Gaylord Opryland. Wow is about all I can say. I wanted to treat my employees and their families with a fun weekend away. Because we were going to have a mix of children and adults, I called ahead of time to get more information about the holiday events around the resort. First off, they are very interested in taking your money for said events with giving little information regarding them. I’m a researcher through and through and I could find little to no information on the website or with a general web search of Rudolph’s Feast, or information about the events- especially locations. I called multiple times, clicked through multiple numbers while listening to a pre recorded message to no avail. Finally I was able to reach a real human who was incredibly helpful. But I still stand by the statement that they want your money, but do not want to offer a good experience for it. We were coming from out of town and once we realized we were hitting a lot of traffic on the way we decided to do all of our festivities before checking in. I called the third party, hotels.com, to let them know of this and to add a name to my reservation so one half of our party could check in ahead of time since we were stuck in traffic. I had to call hotels because Opryland phone attendant was incredibly rude when I asked to add a name to my reservation. Clearly they’re not too keen on third party booking, so keep that in mind.
