We did not know much about Naples when we made our reservation but with the benefit of hindsight we were so pleased that we seemed to have made the perfect choice for us. Ingrid’s apartment is undoubtedly in “position A” . It is on the 7th floor of a peninsular block, next to the Gulf and has wonderful view up to Fort Myers, Estero and Bonita Bay from the large balcony. It also overlooks the marina from the other end of the balcony and therefore there is always something to catch your eye.
The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean, and was very well provided with items which one would wish for in a ‘home from home’ environment. Our neighbours and other residents in the block were charming, polite and very friendly. The block had its own well kept pool area and provided plentiful parking and Ingrid very thoughtfully provided a pass which gave us access to the next door Delnor Wiggins State Park with its one mile of beach frontage, plus its facilities. The Pass allowed us to drive into the Park each day and park at one of the several beach access areas and saved us carrying our beach chairs, etc. There is also a closer beach at the end of the peninsula if you so wished. Frankly, we were really spoiled for choice. The location was ideal for exploring up and down the coast and also allowed easy and speedy access to the US41 and Interstate 75. My husband is a golfer and was spoilt for choice with the amount of courses nearby and, again, there was quick and easy access to various malls, supermarkets, etc. They were all within a short drive. We were so glad we made thie right choice for us.
Finally, Ingrid was a very pro-active owner, inasmuch that she was always very responsive, eager to please and such a lovely, friendly owner.
There is a wealth of places to go in the Naples area and, understandably, we did not see everything during our 3 weeks on this, our first trip. Welook forward to returning in the future, but only if Ingrid’s apartment was available to us. We had such a lovely time and the location was perfect.
