We paid for the Teatro Romano I apartment months in advance. We saw the photos as advertised and thought it looked charming. We especially liked the promised view of the Roman Theatre. Actual experience seemed like a bait-and-switch tactic, however, we were refunded in full within being there for 12 hours.
Check-in process: Inefficient. Could not find our reservation even though we had verified it by telephone the day before. Eventually they found it, but the person who was supposed to meet us was not there, as we had agreed upon, because she had decided to wait for other guests first who were not there instead of helping us who had actually arrived.
Property: We did not get the property that we had reserved. We were placed in a completely different apartment that was not advertised or shown as an option to book. It looked like someone’s home, since there were pictures on the wall, but not at all the Teatro Romano I that we reserved.
Stove/Oven: Igniter for the stove was broken, as was the hood range.
Air Conditioner: Not there. Standing fan broken.
Cleanliness: Toilet plunger left in shower. Hairball in shower. Shower curtain was yellow, as was the tile inside shower which was supposed to be white and blue.
Windows/doors: Did not close properly. One window did not close at all, letting in insects.
View of Roman Theatre: Partial view, not as advertised.
