"This is a fantastic hotel in Kyoto. The location is right on the river, near Gion, and walking distance to Pontocho Alley. This hotel manages to combine the best aspects of a modern hotel with classic elements of a Japanese Ryokan. My wife loved the big comfortable bed and soft pillows but I was also able to go to their onsen (Japanese bath) And they had the option of an onsen type bath right in our room with special bath salts. My wife loved that. I recommend you get the included breakfast. It was delicious and varied in their restaurant with great staff. Even an omelette station tho’ I didn’t have room"

"Staff was very helpful. They went out and beyond. Facility was clean at all times. Would happily stay here again. 7-Eleven was walking distance away. Very convenient. Wish they would have vending machines within the different floor for easy access. "

"The hotel has a great location, right next to the shopping street(s). It is a short maybe five minute walk from the street where the taxi will let you off. The room was larger than expected and accommodated two people just fine. I really enjoyed staying at this hotel "

"Very comfortable beds and excellent amenities. Boutique hotel with excellent guest services, fast room service and very helpful staff. Staff held our bags until room was ready and helped organize sending luggage to Osaka ahead of our arrival. As long as bags are dropped off by 11am, they would arrive by next morning. Kyoto metro stop about 3 minute walk from the hotel door. Convenience stores nearby. Safe area and quiet. In room amenities include toothbrush, comb, vanity kit, facial and hand moisturizer, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, washcloth, hair dryer, safe, onsen dressing garbs. "
