It was OK for the price. Looks like they’re either upgrading or tearing things down. Lots of construction going on.

Avoid
The location is the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel pictures have been heavily edited to make the rooms nicer than they are - mine had plastic garden furniture, thin smelly curtains and a view of a concrete wall. Avoid and stay in one of the nicer guest houses nearby.

Its very close to the ocean front. great breakfast cafe across the road. it was clean and perfect for a hit and run night in monterey.

Location great; ocean views. But my room was directly in front of the elevator which is external to the property. The view out my window is literally the elevator door. I had to keep the drapes closed all day so people wouldn’t be looking directly into my room when they step off the elevator! There is a similar room on every floor. Horrible. Ridiculous.
