5/5 Excellent

Everything was just as advertised and everything I wanted was within walking distance. I hope it is available next time I visit the Melbourne area.

Stayed 4 nights in May 2019

4/5 Good

It's kind of sweet and Nicely decorated, great location, a bit quirky, could be better.

You should be able to tell by the pictures that this is a different kind of place to stay, so it shouldn't be a surprise to you. You are in an older neighborhood, you will be staying in a converted garage or shed or something behind other homes and near other small places that have also been renovated, You drive through an alley to park your car and walk in by the outdoor patio that seems to be so prevalent in the preview but nothing you would sit at knowing it is apolstered furniture that is out side in the elements 24/7. You can see a glimpse of the Indian River if you are tall enough and if you just want to stand and look out over a fence. The cottage itself has a nice layout, very low ceilings, ceiling fans and one wall mounted AC unit. it does not cool the place enough for 80 degree weather. We brought our own fan so that helped a lot. Bathroom is tiny but manageable. Nice to have the washer and dryer. Water temp and pressure were fine. Bed was old, a bit lumpy but okay. But it is the kind of Queen bed you may have had at motels that really isn't the size of your queen bed at home. TV does not have Basic Cable as described, instead it has a ROKU remote with Sling that gives you a few weird channels. The voice does not match the picture on screen. You can watch 1965 Gidget TV show and Bonanza and if you are clever enough to maneuver the Roku options you can find some things to watch but many things need a subscription. Couch is old and a bit dingy looking but no smells or stains. Windows are cute cottage looking things but the Venetian blinds on them are actually Outside the window and outside in the elements so they are filthy. Kitchen is very nice and has just the right amount of things you would want, very enjoyable to make things in there. Dishwasher, stove, fridge, coffee pot, all good. Sweet little dining area is nice too. Nice electronic entry device on door, nice foliage around the area. Excellent security lights surrounding the cottage. Older neighborhood but everyone seemed nice. It is in a little old town that used to be called Eau Galle and you could walk to three bars/restaurants that are all good. Very close to the beach and just off US Hwy 1 that gives quick access anywhere. If you get this place for the right price, you should be okay with it if the AC get's a bit upgraded. The opening on this VRBO review only allows us to say "I LOVED IT" or "NOT REALLY" so can't just say "we're satisfied."

5/5 Excellent

Sunshine Stay

We thought the cottage was delightful and comfortable. We appreciated the keyless entry and feeling of security. The kitchen was well equipped and the washer and dryer were a plus!! We would stay again as the opportunity presents.

5/5 Excellent

Perfect Stay

Great home base for exploring the area. Loved the local scene!

4/5 Good

Just as advertised perfect spot for 2 close to everything and with a place to relax and unwind

A lot more room inside than the outside suggests Everything you would need for a short or long stay Bed was comfortable and I fit We ate out mostly but it looked to have everything you would need to grill some fresh seafood or steaks I really enjoyed the outside area has two spots to see some of the river and a few of the boats sailing by All and all we would recommend the cottage if you are in the area as we will use it again on our return visits Only issue I had was wanting to watch the college bowl games but could not get local channels but the brew pub was just down the street which had a nice selection of craft beer many tv’s and a really good food truck
