    Great Escape Location

Our family of 6 had a wonderful long weekend at the cottage. Kitchen included plenty of pans and most small appliances. Beds were comfortable. Everything was in good repair. We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing boat (caught bass and pike). Nice space for campfires under the starry sky. The lake is a decent drive from any attractions, and we were glad to have gps as we traveled many dirt “roads” and saw lots of deer. Owner must have a dog as there was a dog bed (in case anyone viewing the reviews is allergic). Would recommend this location for a family or small group! Better than pictures show!

A peaceful lake, and beautiful setting.

It was a little tricky finding the house for the first time, but once we got acclimated, my wife and I enjoyed waking to the early morning mist burning off the lake, and the peaceful surroundings. The kayaks were a perfect way to enjoy the lake at sunrise or sunset, and all hours in between. The house had everything we needed. A comfortable bed, good shower, great views of the lake, well stocked kitchen, a Weber grill (the only way to grill), a fire pit & wood, and a 1 mile driveway for morning walks/runs. The Upper Peninsula seems to be a well kept secret. We had a great time hiking to waterfalls, beaches, kayaking the painted rocks. We will definitely return again someday.

    Perfect Getaway

The cabin is roomy and very comfortable. Great surprize to have Wifi and lots of channels on the tv for the evenings before bed. The bunk house is decked out similarly, and my daughter was very comfortable staying in there. We went kayaking, which was great. Swimming was a little challenging with a very soft bottom, but I got a few laps in. All in all great time. Would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic place to hang your hat

Our family of 6 stayed for a few days. The bigger kids stayed in the bunkhouse and our 4 year old stayed with us in the main house. Plenty of room for everyone. Lots of swimming and kayaking. This cabin is centrally located between Munising and Manistique. We spent quite a bit of time sightseeing all around. This made a perfect base camp. Our one rainy day was spent indoors watching tv. Again, the kids were able to go to the bunkhouse to watch what they wanted. Overall, we had a great time, and really enjoyed this location.
