About this property

Riverfront Cabin w/ Mountain Views Near Skiing, Hiking, & Caverns

Riverfront cabin with kitchen and fireplace
**We are new to VRBO but Superhosts with a five-star rating on Airbnb. This is your next vacation spot!** Acres of riverfront and gorgeous views, right from the porch! Use our water equipment and private river access in the spring, summer, or fall. Cozy up next to the fireplace in the winter. Enjoy the front screened porch views year-round. An easy drive to the Luray Caverns, Shenandoah National Park, George Washington National Forest, Massanutten Resort, and much more. This year-round cabin is your next vacation! We are Riverfront Pioneer Cabins! We have three unique cabins named after famous pioneers: Daniel Boone (Listing #1555622), Buffalo Bill (Listing #1559793), and Bass Reeves (Listing #1555835). Please inquire if you wish to book all three cabins and reserve the entire property for your stay. Our Annie Oakley pier is great for boat launching or fishing. Walk our Lewis and Clark one-mile trail to enjoy wildlife and river views. Information on each pioneer (and more!) may be found inside the cabins. Our Daniel Boone cabin is our largest cabin, perfect for two to three families or a large group of friends. This historic, pioneer style cabin features hand hewn logs dating back to the eighteen-hundreds, paintings from the original owner, country kitchen, and a Baldwin piano. The cabin was lovingly relocated and nestled on 16 acres in an idyllic setting along the bank of the Shenandoah River. Enjoy morning coffee on the large screened in porch while you watch the beauty of the mountains and river unfold. Spend the day canoeing, kayaking, tubing, or fishing right outside the cabin and the evening catching fireflies, roasting marshmallows over a campfire, grilling, playing board games, or sipping spirits by the river. Visit the Luray Caverns, Massanutten Resort, rescue zoo, or shops. SHEETS AND TOWELS NOT PROVIDED. Firm no pets policy. Riverfront Pioneer Cabins is a licensed rental. Nightly rate includes state and county lodging taxes. On site is a mile long trail that loops around the property. You have access to plenty of water equipment: tubes, kayaks, paddleboards, and water equipment for all guests to enjoy. We have plenty of adult life vests as well and four youth vests. You can access the river directly from our pier. There is a firepit next to the river and in front of the cabin. Smores sticks provided! The cabin is minutes from the Shenandoah National Park and George Washington National Forest hiking trails. About a ten minute drive away are shops perfect for antiquing, an adorable movie theater, restaurants, zip lining adventure, golf course, animal rescue zoo, distillery, brewery, vineyard, and the Luray Caverns. We are also within an easy (~30 minutes) and scenic drive to wineries and Massanutten Resort. While we hope you spend most of your time outdoors, we do have a TV, wi-fi, DVDs, Roku, and board games. There are three cabins on the property. All cabins use a cistern for water and septic for sewage. The water is brought in from a nearby spring, has been tested, is perfectly safe to drink and tastes great! You may choose to bring drinking water, however. I will need to know exactly how many people will be staying so I can order enough water for your visit. While you can use our water equipment to access the river from our pier, you might prefer to bring your truck or trailer and launch from the public access ramp next to the bridge. The public access ramp is 0.6 miles away and about a 40 minute float on tubes or 25 minute kayak/canoe ride. You can exit the river from our pier. You will need two vehicles to do this: one to take the equipment to the public access and one to pick your vehicle back up (unless someone stays behind at the cabin).
Air-conditioned accommodations at this cabin offer fireplaces and DVD players. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include shower/tub combinations. Cribs/infant beds are also available.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

    Best Shenandoah Rental!

What can I say? Jennifer is the absolute best home. The space is affordable and impeccably maintained. The cabins are walking distance from the river, include kayaks and are comfortable and beautiful!

Amazing, peaceful and one of a kind!

Amazing property and historic cabins. Jen was fabulous to work with every step of the way!

      5/5 Excellent

We had a reunion of 8 college friends from 50 years ago and everything went great.

House was very satisfactory for a large group - just hanging out on living room or on porch. Plus, we had a big BBQ on last night which was fun.We all took advantage of kayaks and canoe and even caught some fish. Local restaurants were very good also.

        5/5 Excellent

We had a great stay at the cabin. We were 4 moms and 5 girls - what a blast!

Every step of the process was flawless. We appreciated having a good time during our last week of summer vacation before the girls started back to school.
