    Staff service and friendliness was hit or miss. 7 days around pool and on last day waiter came by for drink service. Leak in ceiling from clogged air conditioning. Maintenance arrived promptly and was very friendly , but we had to mop up all the water in floor ourselves. Marquez at buffet provided excellent service, but only saw him on first night. Buffet was horrible after first night. We paid to eat out nighly as we were unable to get reservations before 8 to restaurants any of the 7 nights we were there. 1 was closed several nights. Loud jackhammering and concrete saw around pool 3/7 days. Several " shows" required excessive fees unless you were an exclusive "club member" aka time share owner......which they tey to push heavily We have been to the area several times, this time with kiddos. . Even they complained about the food, with exception of fresh pizzas

    Everything was great except the food. Food was mediocre but I’m not too picky. They really need a soft serve machine or chocolate chip cookies or both. They are very family friendly but the food options for kids is a little limited

    The property is very clean. The rooms including the bathroom are very large. The kids club was excellent. The food was OK. It was very difficult to book dinner reservations at an early hour so we could attend the evening entertainment

    The pros: great service - most of the staff is trying their best to take care of the guests. Especially, loved Jonathan at the Cafe Solaris - kudos! The staff makes it a great enjoyable place! Room - We upgraded our room to ocean view with a huge balcony - the views are unbelievable! Entertainment - daily at the pool, at the beach, and shows at night - wow! Fantastic crew!!! Food - breakfast selection is fine at Cafe Solaris; great pizza place at the pool, delish cevichi at the beach; nice snack place at the pool; great menus at Zai, Marco Polo and Panchos for dinner - highly recommend that you consider one of those for dinner (see my cons below and you will know why :)) the cons: food - it is hit and miss; sometimes there was nothing that would look/taste appetizing at the Cafe Solaris at dinner time at all; so after a couple of nights we completely switched to one of the three specialty restaurants. noise levels - wow! that was a big surprise - not much of soundproof going on and one can hear every movement and conversation in the hallways. So, when the cleaning crew started their morning rounds, i felt like I was at a training station and trains were flying by - super loud... not the best feeling at 6 am in the morning :)))

    Next time would upgrade to pool or city view. Would like to have a self serve Nestle Cappuccino espresso machine. Better drink selection and drink menu at the lobby. Just like the pool. Dress up the drinks with fruit. More fruit (bananas) and food variety at the buffet.
