Cabo Azul is a well-designed, aesthetically pleasing resort. The nature-meets-modern, tropical theme was cohesive throughout the resort. The dark wood-carved panels throughout the resort and in the room/suites were so eye-catching and beautiful. As someone who pays attention to details, I can tell that the architects and designers of Cabo Azul did also. Beautiful resort! Javier's restaurant was classy, delicious, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The beautiful entrance was elegant and sophisticated. The food was delicious. However, I was hoping to see authentic Mexican dish options on the menu for both lunch and dinner (i.e. tamales, burritos, tostadas, etc.) rather than mostly American dishes. We're in Mexico after all! Flor de Noche is an eye-catching, beautiful restaurant and addition to the center of the resort and infinity pool. I really enjoyed daily Happy Hour, although available for only 2 hours. Again, I wish they offered more food and cocktail options on the menu. An unexpected disappointment I had was the limited restaurants in the resort: only Javier’s and Flor de Noche. I must've misread the resort amenities, but I was under the impression that there were more restaurants in the resort. The 3 infinity pools in the middle of the resort were amazing and aesthetically pleasing. But also, the 2 side pools were very nice also. Across the street is a strip of boutiques and restaurants and next door are other elegant resorts with many restaurant options.

We love the quiet, relaxing atmosphere of Cabo Azul. The issues this year: mosquitoes in our room, but that was a first and may be because we were near pool/garden. Also, it’s very confusing with the constant converting back and forth pesos to dollars. The staff was much more attentive this visit - Ramon (waiter) and Julio (cabana boy) both were awesome. There also seemed to be less kids at the pool bar this visit. If you could dedicate, one big pool as adults only too, that would be nice. Some of us like quiet and no splashing, squealing, and yelling! Finally, the special meal nights are too much money! If you are a small woman and don’t drink alcohol, $39 is crazy for a meal. Consider a meal price that doesn’t include alcohol.

Hotel has spacious rooms with modern design. The restaurant food was delicious. Rooms were always clean. Loved the water softener. All of the housekeeping staff was friendly. Javiers restaurant employees could be friendlier. Overall our hotel stay was amazing. We enjoyed our stay.
