The remodeled units were beautiful. A/C worked well as did all electronics in the room. Stray Cafe was decent food and friendly service.
The hotel staff were professional enough; though at times seemed to be “phoning in” their service. The exception was the security staff - they were the most friendly and helpful - every time.
Very relaxed atmosphere with down to earth working class clientele.
Close to Walgreens and the outlets and not too far from the monorail either.
Our last night we got a notice that water was being shut off the be and no showers were possible. I w as irritated for all the obvious reasons but specifically because we upgraded our room to avoid this type of thing. When I called to discuss it with the front desk the clerk rudely cut me off after my second sentence.
These was a lot of construction during our stay that wasn’t divulged at the time of booking. Also when we arrived we were informed that we were booked for a non-remodeled unit that was missing a bunch of the amenities (microwave, etc.) advertised on the booking info. So we got hit with an additional $25 nightly fee if we wanted to upgrade.
The room was mostly clean. One of the six pillows had old makeup smears on it. We needed to plug something in so we moved the desk and there was about a foot of dust and old garbage that had fallen behind it.
We didn’t get our wake-up call in the morning, despite ordering it.
