      Unexpectedly Wonderful property rented unseen!

      We are delighted to have an opportunity to review this property. Last year we stayed at another property in the same area and were very happy. While it did not have a direct ocean view, it was very comfortable with a warm homey feeling, perhaps because the owners actually lived there portions of the year. That apartment was unavailable to us during the month we were available so we sought another condominium in the area. Our main requirement, besides the 30 days we were available, was that it have 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a parking space. We we did some research on VRBO and Home away and asked our daughter, who lives in San Diego, to visit the properties we selected. Soon after her inspection and review, we made a commitment to rent this property. We entered this apartment with very low expectations, because my daughter had reported the mattress in the master bedroom was too soft for our backs, but we were pleasantly surprised. The property is perfectly located directly across from the Children's Pool with a view of the ocean and seals that is incredible. When the shades are pulled aside, in the dining room and living room, the view is extraordinary. The property is clean and neat and, although it is clearly a rental property, it has everything necessary to live comfortably, at a very reasonable cost. We conquered the soft mattress issue by purchasing a firm mattress topper which was placed on top. During our stay, we met several neighbors, many of them permanent owners. They, and the building manager, could not have been more friendly or gracious to us. The biggest compliment that we can give to this property was our desire to rent this space once again for next year. Unfortunately, this is not possible as the owner expects to lease the property for a minimum three months. The owner was very pleasant and even offered to reimburse for any expenses regarding replacement of appliances. In our final days, we requested one additional night due to an unexpected personal event and the owner permitted this without any additional cost. We are thrilled to report that we have successfully leased another apartment with the same view, in the same building, for 30 days next year. We visited the property while here and are happy to report the mattress is firm. Please let us know if anyone reading this review has an interest in purchasing a 3 inch, queen sized, very firm, latex mattress topper at a reasonable price!😁
