Caution: no customer service!
On arrival, the area was an ice rink. Multiple services were clearing walking paths to houses, except for ours. There was no safe passage to any entry for two days when a neighbor offered his walk treatment, which we performed. The gutters leaked directly on our face/heads at the door. Although it cites TV as an amenity, there was NO live network/station anywhere in the condo. Listing claimed "completely renovated"; could not agree with that. Small outdated bedrooms and baths. Likewise, the washer was inoperable despite our many attempts to secure the broken door. There were silverfish in 2 beds. The refrigerator was dirty and full of someone else's food. We had to clean it and keep most of our food outside in a bucket. I cleaned the entire kitchen. The listed "pool" was nonexistent in the offseason. The second day our water supply was brown, it never did return to clear. Cooking became limited/coffee impossible. I called the number listed for "any help we needed", heard only guesses about what it "might be". The water company arrived the next day, unable to clear the water. Again, the neighbor told us EVERYONE knows the water does this regularly, why is it a secret? At one point the owner suggested "the only thing he knew, check out" -- 3 days early, which were paid ski days! He refused ANY refund. We left 1 day early, ran out of bottled water and clean linens/clothes. PROS: *Temp control, every room; *Small, well-drafted fireplace, including cut wood and starter; *Good hot (brown) water supply; *Comfortable mattresses; *Proximity to a chair lift; *Adequate cooking supplies/hodge-podge dinnerware. It was unfortunate the owner could not offer his sympathy or even a days' refund. I called 3 times after the trip and no one would return my call. The owner took none of the bad news well. He "never hear of a silverfish, and never had them." It was as if we could make that up. We are very frequent travelers, flexible when treated with respect. He was a rare total fail. For that reason alone, he will never see us again! PS: The listed info included "will drive to resolve issues"! Our experience: If you complain too much for our liking we simply claim no knowledge and stop responding!!
