We made reaservation through Expedia two hrs before our arrival at the Crown Plaza. Our reservation was for two people and our 20lb dog. The website said that the Crown Plaza was pet friendly. The website did not say the amount they charged for the animal. Therefore, we called the hotel direct to find out. We were told that there was $75 deposit required for the dog at check in. I asked several times if this was a charge or a deposit. I was told it was a returnable deposit. When we arrived we were informed that in fact the $75 was a charge ! Upset, we told the front desk that we didn’t want the room. They informed us that we would be charged for the room and dog anyway. This hotel has a perfect right to charge $75 or any amount it wants for pets. The point is if I new the cost I would not have made the reservation in the first place. After talking with the manager, the hotel agnreend to not charge us for the cancelled room. She also said good luck getting a credit from Expedia. I haven’t seen anything from Expedia. Very disappointed in Expedia. STAY AWAY FROM EXPEDIA WEBSITE I KNOW I WILL.
