Isla Mujeres is an island nestled in the Caribbean just off the coast of Mexico, and it's only a short ferry ride away from Cancun. Also known as the Island of Women, Isla Mujeres has many luxurious hotel options, and numerous beaches including Playa Norte, Playa Paraiso and Playa Indios. You can take in history and architecture at the Hacienda Mundaca, which was built by a reputed pirate during the 19th century, or spend the day sailing aboard a Trimaran through crystal clear waters, inhabited by coral and tropical fish.
Visitors to Isla Mujeres usually fly into Cancun where they can board the Ultramar Ferry. The ferry runs every 30 minutes, and it only takes about 20 minutes for guests to arrive on the island. Upon arrival, you can catch a taxi to your hotel. For transportation throughout Isla Mujeres, many guests rent golf carts or bicycles.
