The whole facility is very dated looking and in poor repair. Floors and walls are damaged everywhere. The shower faucet was bent and therefore unable to get the shower head to work. A room in the hotel caught on fire the night we were there. There was no notification for us that this had happened but the smell was overwhelming and it was freezing cold in the hotel.
The plug at the bathtub is broken so water is not able to go down and we had to use a shampoo to hold it up to let water run down. Wifi is horribly unstable. No remote control was given when we first entered the room to turn on the tv. Ultimately there is really no free wifi because it is so unstable we were unable to do anything about it. There's a strong smell present at the property upon entry. And there's a FIRE that was started by someone smoking on the night we stayed and experience was so bad and yet hotel almost didn't want to refund us the money. Disorganized and lack of customer service to address our concerns. It's just really bad.
Hotel caught fire
The hotel is terribly outdated, and in need of repair. There was a fire in the hotel the evening of 12/7 and even though the alarms were going off staff repeatedly told guest “just someone smoking in their room. No threat. You can go back to your room.” It turns out there was no on in the room where there fire started and in the time wasted telling guest to go back to their rooms, the fire expanded. The stay was unpleasant and unsafe to members of my family that suffer with asthma. Given the college tournaments in town this weekend there were NO OTHER HOTEL OPTIONS. This was a horrible stay and I believe a refund is appropriate. ($230)
