About this property

Chattahoochee River Fun! Sparkleberry Shoals Cabin

If you are looking for a wonderful place to play on the Chattahoochee River, Sparkleberry Shoals is for you! The property is very private, nestled on 4.2 acres, and offers over 800 spectacular feet of river frontage! The 50 ft. walk from the cabin to the river is almost flat. The glorious Chattahoochee River can be seen from most windows in the house and can be heard from every room. The river along this section has 3 nice whitewater rapids and is wonderful for fishing, tubing, and swimming. Our place is suitable for parties of 6 or less and is not suitable for large groups or gatherings. The cabin is newly renovated and furnished and has 3 bedrooms, all with queen size beds, and 2 full baths with tub/shower combinations. The beds are comfortable; 2 have medium-firm mattresses with memory foam toppers and the 3rd has a softer mattress, plus the memory foam. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary appliances, cookware, dishes, and tools. The den, kitchen and dining areas are open and comfortable. We have TVs in all bedrooms and the den, with basic Dish Network channels. The cabin has a washing machine and a dryer. River access at our cabin is exceptional. The short, 50 ft. walk to the river is almost flat. Guests can enter the river in shallow water and wade out to numerous rocks for sitting or to deeper water to swim and cool off. Our property has over 800 ft. of river frontage and we have paths cleared for the length of the property. Therefore, guests can get in the river with a tube and float from the north end of the property to the south end and then walk back up a laurel-lined lane to the house. There is no better place on the river to have fun all day long playing in the rapids or fishing along the bank of the river. **** Due to insurance restrictions, we do not provide tubes or boats for our guests. We do provide life jackets. In the evening, guests can relax in our hammocks and gather around a fire in the fire pit. Guests have use of the entire house and the 4.2-acre property. My husband and I will be available for help when needed. We live 40 minutes away and work within 10 minutes of the property, so we can get to the cabin quickly if needed. Our cabin is approximately 17 miles from Helen, GA and 19 miles from Sautee Nacoochee. Both towns offer restaurants and shopping. Helen offers zip-lining, tubing, mini-golf and a water slide. We are located within 20 to 30 minutes from Habersham Winery, CeNita Winery, Yonah Mountain Winery, and The Cottage Vineyard and Winery. Hikers can access numerous wonderful hiking trails that are within an hour's drive. Kayakers and canoeist can put in at either the 115 bridge and paddle sections III and IV of the Chattahoochee (taking out at our property or going all the way to Mossy Creek) or put in at Duncan bridge and paddle 2 hours down to our cabin. There are wonderful class 1 and 2 rapids on both sections. Wildwood Outfitters is less than a 10-minute drive from the cabin for easy shuttles. *** Reserving this cabin implies that the renter has read and agrees to abide by the cabin rules in the rental contract. River levels are variable based on rainfall. Therefore, at times the river around our property can be much higher or much lower than the pictures shown. Due to insurance restrictions, we do not provide tubes or boats for our guests. We do provide life jackets.

Another great stay at Sparkleberry Shoals

This was our second stay at Sparkleberry Shoals. It was the perfect weekend getaway. The spot on the river is perfect, but we stayed in by the wood burning fireplace most of the time as the temperature was around 20 degrees and windy. Pam is a wonderful host...there wasn’t a thing we needed that we didn’t easily find. We definitely plan to return.

Great experience

It was an amazing experience for real. Pat was kind and helpful. The cabin is cozy and tastefully arranged. We enjoyed the view, especially when we sat in the desk to listen the sound of the river ( while drinking a glass of wine). We are looking forward to returning to this cabin.

Beautiful location and wonderful home

This is my third time this year staying at this house and we will be back again! It is decorated very tastefully and has everything you would need to enjoy your stay. We used the wood burning fireplace this time and it heating the room up nicely. So far my favorite cabin in the area!

Wonderful getaway

The cabin is beautiful, the property is great to explore. The view from the deck was perfect for a happy hour before dinner or to just watch the river and relax, this place is great! It really is a little slice of heaven. We're definitely coming back.

Very Relaxing

Our family stayed here for fall break. We had plenty of fun with the kids from fishing to tubing. The water was just right. Pam was a great host. The cabin was very clean and she furnished all the necessities you could ask for. Thank you for sharing your property with us. We will definitely come back next year!
