"Hotel was great for a child-free weekend away to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a hot tub room, which we used multiple times and were able to order cocktails from the bar directly to the hot tub! Spa was great too. 10 minute walk to Bowness and the lake (and lots of pubs, bars and restaurants), so the location was perfect."

"Came to stay to visit the area for work. The hotel was my base. The staff were so attentive as soon as I walked through the door of the historic coaching pub. It’s was busy and bustling and I was concerned that it would be noisy in my room but as I was shown to my room tucked away along the winding corridor I was happily wrong. The rooms are the other end to the pub so didn’t hear a thing! The breakfasts are simple but thoughtful and they are happy to cater to everyone’s tastes. The room was clean, quiet and snuggly. I would highly recommend a stay here and would love to go back. The little village of hawkshead is like stepping back in time. It’s beautiful!"
