    About this property

San Juan Island Cabin With View of Sunsets Over Westcott Bay

Waterfront cottage with kitchen and balcony
A unique water view retreat, Westcott Woods cabin is the perfect place to spend both an active and restorative break. Perfect for a small group of friends, one or two couples, a small family or an artist in retreat, this cabin provides a private and rustic hide-away that feels deep in the forest, but with a beautiful view and waterfront access of Westcott Bay and everything the San Juan Islands have to offer. Set back only one lot from Westcott Bay, the views of the water and sunset make Westcott Woods cozy and comforting. Built from reclaimed materials found at historic sites on San Juan Island, Westcott Woods has an open floor plan with a sunken living room, as well as the front and back bedrooms. The entry leads into the kitchen and the separate eating area. Both bedrooms have double size platform bed and look out onto the water. Skylights let in natural light all day long. Westcott Woods has a charcoal grill to cook up the clams you dug at English Camp, the salmon you bought at Friday Harbor, or the shrimps sold on the docks at Roche Harbor. You can even season your feast with herbs from the drought-tolerant organic herb-garden. Westcott Woods is a licensed vacation rental on San Juan # 05PROVO30 Keywords: Cozy cabin with many amenities

Very interesting property!! Tucked away in woods, but still has view of water!!

Stay was too short! Need longer then weekend on this island!

      5/5 Excellent

Loved the cabin, the views, the beach access. Perfect for our family of 4

We hope to stay here again! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. Very comfortable beds. We enjoyed walking on the beach at low tide.

A lovely woodland cabin with great sea views

Interesting wooden cabin with loads of character. It's well positioned on the west coast of San Juan island but is very private and secluded. The deck areas and chairs make for a relaxing stay and inside it is very well equipped. The layout is fairly open plan but the two sleeping areas can be private. There's no wifi but cell signal is good. Roche Harbour is scenic and has a good provisions store and cafe. And as for Orcas .... wow!

          5/5 Excellent

            Just as expected!!

We loved our visit to this unique home! It reminded my family of a "gnome house" complete with moss along the lane! It was obvious the homeowner put a lot of thought and energy into building this cabin by repurposing materials. We enjoyed playing games in the evening and our morning coffee and evening wine with beautiful views of the bay. The photos represent it well.

            5/5 Excellent

Peaceful and serene, we loved watching the sun go down from the little outside deck below the house.

Very secluded, yet easy access to main island roads. We hiked and biked all over, and it was a delight to come "home" to the cabin to cook and enjoy the sunsets. Lovely sunrises too!
