    About this property

Rustic Log Cabin W/hot Tub, Pool Table, Firepit, 4 Fishing Ponds on 125 Acres!

Historic cabin in Frazeysburg with spa tub
First and foremost, you get what you pay for here and so much more. This cabin is simply breathtaking on its own and is luxurious. It is beyond clean, we provide a fully- stocked and the best- equipped cabin in all of Ohio. We own 3 vacation rentals listed on this site and they are all 5-star properties with substantial reviews. You will also receive personalized service unmatched elsewhere. We want to welcome you to the Jug Run Lodge. This open-concept "authentic" log cabin was erected from the trees grown and harvested on the 125- acre farm and property that surrounds it. The designer/ builder selected the perfect trees, cut them, then used teams of draft horses to pull the logs out of the woods and set them in place. This beautiful cabin was built to be admired for it's natural beauty. The "authentic" reference comes from the trees being left as is, not cut to size or modified, as is the case with most log cabins we see today. Instead, the logs were set into place as is. This truly is an amazing cabin from an engineering standpoint, then add in the luxury everywhere inside it and most guests are blown away when they see it. Pictures do not do this justice. This is a one of a kind unbelievably gorgeous cabin will leave you amazed. This is the perfect getaway for families looking for the country experience, for couples wanting luxury and privacy and for friends looking for the ease of entertaining in the countryside. You get highly personalized service that you will not find elsewhere. I would like to address the obvious; if you are reading this it is because you have some interest, despite us only having one review. So, I thought I would explain why we don't have them yet; We have been hosting for almost 15 years on HomeAway/ VRBO, this is our 3rd property listed here. Unfortunately, when we added this property in July, we did not get the review credit for that extensive history- which-understandably can cause travelers to pause and ask where are the reviews? We get passed up all the time because we don't have them. We know how valuable those reviews are and we are working on obtaining them. It takes time as travelers have to actually stay with us, and then leave a review. The challenge with that is this is not the only place we advertise. The other places took up all our available dates, leaving few days open for HomeAway/ VRBO to make available to reserve for guests. If you reach out to me, I will be happy to assist you on how to locate multiple reviews by actual travelers, elsewhere. This property is extremely popular and we have had numerous stays, just not by HomeAway/ VRBO guests-yet. I appreciate your patience in reading this. I can direct you to our other properties that reflect our hosting style and lots of reviews to read- on this very site. We have had a near perfect review record and we are one of the longest running hosts on here. I only ask you give us a chance to prove why we are a 5-star property. This cabin has that rustic exterior. But, walk through the door and you see a charming polished interior with that inviting lodge look and vibe that draws you in and makes you feel cozy and relaxed. The organic statement include cross- beam timbers that frame the three- story stone indoor fire place. The entire structure inside and out consists of organic materials that took mother nature centuries and more to create. It is all wood, stone and metal made into one unique and charming log cabin that is open, airy and ready to entertain you and your guests. Most guests don't expect to have these kinds of finishes in a rustic looking cabin in the country. So, we joke with our guests that they can tell their family they had to "rough it" at our place. You will be far from roughing it here. We are also Pet Friendly! This property has ample space to accommodate 9 beds (1 king, 6 queen and 2 single beds) along with 3 amazing bathrooms- so no one is competing for bathroom space! The fully- equipped and stocked modern kitchen has natural slate floors, high end stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry and gorgeous granite countertops. We pride ourselves as having not only the cleanest but also the best- equipped and stocked properties of any other properties. We provide just about everything you will need when you're away from home and that is yet another thing that sets us apart from the rest. The dining area has seating for 10 along with a wet bar that includes a mini fridge, wine cooler, a Keurig and standard coffee maker. We provide a selection of K-pods and ground coffees, filters, creamer and sugar. The family room has a large comfortable sectional couch along with enough seating for the whole group to be together at once. You can catch a movie or game on the large 65" tv over the warm indoor fireplace (we provide the firewood). Behind the family room couch is the pool table with a large window overlooking the side of the property. In the evenings you can catch a glimpse of the deer eating from one of many fruit trees on the farm. The first floor extra large bedroom has 4 queen size beds. The first floor bathroom has a slate and glass shower with dual shower heads, natural slate floors, concrete countertops and custom cabinetry for plenty of storage space. There is also a stackable high efficiency washer and dryer available for your laundry needs (we provide the laundry supplies). The second story has the master bedroom with a king size bed fitted with luxury linens/ sheets that will change the way you sleep at night. The gem of this cabin has to be the master suite bathroom. It has a soaking tub with hand held shower, a large custom glass shower with dual rain shower heads. The dual stainless vessel sinks mirror each other as they are mounted on a gorgeous slab of black glitz granite that is so big it had to be hoisted by a tractor through the bathroom balcony door. Through the balcony you have a breathtaking view of the farm and beautiful countryside. The third bedroom has 2 queen beds and 2 single beds and its own private bathroom as well. Off of the third bedroom is a deck overlooking the back of the farm. For the outdoor enthusiast there are 4 stocked fishing ponds that have bass, bluegill and perch. We have a built- in target range with 20-60 yards on one side of the property and on the opposite side we can accommodate a range for 200-500 yards. There are a combination of three farms with over 250 acres for the hiker and nature loving adventurer's spirit. Let's not forget the 5/6 person hot tub for relaxing at the end of the day. For the deer hunters: The cabin is located close to Woodbury Nature Preserve and we have ground available for lease during whitetail deer hunting season(Please inquire about hunting leases as they are not part of the nightly rental cost). The cabin also has a working sheep farm that affords you the opportunity to get up close and personal with some farm life. We time our lambing season for March 15th through April 15th so that our guests can feed and play with the newborn lambs. We also make maple syrup from the trees on the property during the Spring! We don't lack opportunities to experience farm life in all its beauty. The cabin and farm is located at the edge of a very large Amish community that extends all the way to Millersburg. You have the opportunity to meet some Amish people and visit their nearby farm as well.
Air-conditioned accommodations at this cabin offer fireplaces and washers/dryers. Rooms open to balconies or patios. Accommodations offer separate living rooms. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas.
Bathrooms include bathtubs or showers and hair dryers. Televisions come with DVD players. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards.
