We had 3 rooms and stayed for 2 nights. We have stayed at boutique hotels before, so thought we knew what to expect and what not to expect, particularly given the positive online reviews we read.
The rooms were large and very clean (with one exception - read on). The beds were comfortable, with very soft sheets. Very good.
We had a number of issues, though. The biggest one, however, was that I called the owner to discuss the issues early in the morning after our first night, and did not hear back until 10 - 12 hours later. At that point, I told her it was too late to deal with things (because I didn't want strange men coming into my mothers' or daughters' or sisters' rooms late at night.)
The issues - in Room 1, the toilet seat was literally falling off. It was dangerous. Our TV also did not work. We had a closet, but no hangers. Room 2 - TV did not work; no hangers in closet. Room 3 - almost all dishes were in dishwasher - and they were still dirty - yuck!
Then the breakfast. Continental is the right word, but it was really, really lame. I mean really. This could be a way to help differentiate and lay claim to really being a boutique.
And then, the front desk help. "Help" is wrong word. Totally inattentive to guests. I witnessed people having to ask many times for things (my daughter asked 3 times for a bowl). She spent the whole time with her shoes off, on her phone.
Could have been worse, for sure. But not sure how this gets the rating it has gotten...???
