Very cool, beautifully old hotel in the middle of the (small) town. High ceilings, molding, the works. It's like your stepping back in time. No AC but don't need it. No elevator and quite steep stairs leading to all the rooms (so you know). The dimmers on lights are the best! The bar and dinner scene was top notch. I had the pork chops and they were delish. Limited wine by the glass. Not so good: the morning breakfast scene. No buffet, and only one (cluless) girl taking orders. Everything I ordered was wrong and it took FOREVER. And this was on a Wed with only a few other people in the dining room. WiFi- Sucked. Even when I did connect, it would cut you off, then connect back...only to cut you off again and again. Awful. Other guests complained about it too. Don't go expecting to spend much (any?) time in the town itself. It is VERY cute and picturesque ... but nothing much there at all. A cute curiosity shop that is really fun and interesting and a Bakery that has the absolute best carrot cake I have ever had! And that's about it. BOTTOM LINE: A great place if you like stepping back in time nestled in a sleepy little town. That said, it's rather expensive for what you are actually getting. I'd pay $100-120. But not the almost $200 for a weekday night in the middle of nowhere with awful WiFi, no elevator, no A/C and a poor breakfast.
