      Quaint Cabin in the Redwoods

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This turned out to be a quite nice place out in the middle of the forest. Perfect for a couple that want to get away from it all for a few days. We stayed during the elk mating season and the main purpose for me was to have a place to stay that would allow me to photograph elk during their bugling season. It turned out perfect. Saw many elk and a couple that were monsters. One 7x8 and one 6x8.

        Quite rustic retreat

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I planned a trip up the coast from the SF bay area, with Prairie Creek Redwoods as our second two day stop of hiking and exploring, on our way into Oregon. I was very excited about our drive on a remote road to the Peaceful Creekside Cabin in the woods - but, when we drove up to the cabin I wondered if I had made a big mistake. The front yard was over grown, with dead plants in the planters, the Redwoods Rental sign was laying on it's side in tall weedy growth, the garden decorations where laying askew with cobwebs over them, the cute decorations on the front of the cabin were covered with cobwebs . . . it looked deserted. I questioned whether we were at the right place. My husband and I went in and found a clean interior, with detailed instructions of shoe removal and care of the home. The windows were dirty with cobwebs on the exterior. Those windows that had screens had holes patched with tape. I retreated to the back deck, where the VRBO picture was taken, and found cobwebs everywhere, a PC pipe from a possible past hot tub sticking up out of a cement patio next to the deck, dead plants in planters, and broken brick fire pit filled with saw dust and another circular pit with a large stone set on top. I could hear the sound of the creek behind the cabin, but could not get past the plant growth to get near it. I actually cried and wondered if I had been duped. We settled in, got the cushions for the patio chairs out and placed them on the chairs after my husband removed the cobwebs, and had a glass of wine...fortunately the forest surrounding this cabin is beautiful! I focused on that. We slept well as the bed was comfortable, the upstairs bedroom has a sliding glass door with a secure screen that allowed us to sleep with the cool air, the smell of the forest, the sound of the creek. At the the end of next day, after hiking all day, we met the owner who had just finished up doing yard work, which I wish had been done before we arrived.

            Wonderful and Peaceful Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was perfect. It was centrally located to all the locations we wanted to see. It was clean and everything my wife and I needed. Explanations about property amenities and nearby hikes made the stay go off smoothly. They even had a Tide book, so it was easy to make plans while enjoying the fire in the upstairs media center. If we make plans to come back this way, we will come again.
