    About this property

    Cozy Redwood Cottage

Adults-only Arcata cottage in Pacific, near Humboldt State University
This wonderful bay view cottage is filled with light from the floor to ceiling windows. It is the perfect cozy getaway for a honeymoon couple or anyone exploring the breathtaking redwoods or the beautiful coastline. It is a clean, comfortable and charming place to land between adventures on the North Coast. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable queen bed and a desk nook overlooking Humboldt Bay. The cottage is decorated with original artwork by nationally known artists. Our cottage is six blocks from the downtown Arcata Plaza, ten blocks west of Humboldt State University and Arcata Redwood Forest. Arcata is a small university town located between Humboldt Bay and the Arcata Redwood Forest. The spectacular rocky seacoasts, beaches, and forests of Redwood National Park are just to the north. The beautiful clear rivers of the Six Rivers National Forest are both north and south. Redwood forests, concerts, restaurants, and movies are all a pleasant walk away. There are great restaurants in the area. In town, there is Folie Douce, Abruzzi's, Tomo's, Three Foods, the Other Place…. Renata's Creperie and Brio are great for breakfast and lunch. Moonstone Grill is right on the beach, 7 miles north, great for watching the sunset. There are lots of other little places, too. Arcata has many community events, from the Oyster Festival, to bird watching gatherings, major entertaining acts at Humboldt State University, and a lively Saturday Farmer's Market. The Marsh Ponds are world famous for bird watching, and the Community Forest has miles of wild and remote hiking trails.
Guest accommodations at this cottage offer DVD players and coffee/tea makers. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers.

      Lovely cottage with a view

The cottage was quiet, clean and felt like home. At night, the view of Arcata and the bay below was gorgeous. The owner communicated with me well and check in was a breeze. I would love to return again. I highly recommend staying here.

        Miniature gem of a cottage

This hillside location makes it feel like a bit of a tree house, looking out toward the slice of bay in the distance. Sunny, tiny, in great shape. Bedroom is a squeeze, bathroom too. Walkable to town. Lovely, responsive management.

            Cute place in charming town

Cottage was pretty much as advertised. Clean and quiet though a bit far to walk to town after a day of hiking. Kitchen was great as we cooked breakfast and one dinner. Highly recommend this place especially at the price.

              It's all good, dude.

Nice neighborhood, close to downtown. Everything inside the cottage is clean and well-maintained. Easy to get on 101 and go to Trinidad and other towns, various incredible redwood parks, lagoons, beaches.
