In a rural location and near a train station, Best Western Premier East Midlands Airport Yew Lodge Hotel is in an area with good airport proximity. Comfortable and nice amazing breakfast just the changing rooms required mopping as the floors were so wet. Carpark charge of £8 was a bit much.
The hotel is comfortable clean and efficient. The room had the bonus of an iron and ironing board, kettle and drink making facilities. On the down side I was dismayed to have to pay £8per night to park my car in the hotel car park. The room had no fridge, no soap rack in the shower and no toilet brush, (a particular bugbear as I hate the embarrassment and ignominy of leaving skid marks for my wife or the maid). The shower flow was weak, but the hand held tap extension had good pressure.
Decent hotel with good design and comforting rooms. Only slight let down was having to pay for parking, despite being free for conference delegates and restaurant visitors.
Tired decor. Fixtures and fittings in poor condition. Room was unclean. And to top it off no WiFi for the whole evening. Not a great experience.
