Emerald Shores was kind of a conundrum for me. I booked my room same day, during a big annual event, for a what I considered a decent price.
For less the price, I got a "genuine" ocean front room, with an apartment sized fridge, 2 burner kitchen area and balcony.
To make this more streamlined, I'll break it up into pros and cons. Please be aware, when I arrived, I was put into a middle of the hall unit on the top floor. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the burners on the kitchenette and was moved to a corner unit on a lower floor that did not have this issue.
-Great price for ocean front kitchenette unit with balcony and large room
-Bedding was clean and beds met a reasonable standard of comfort
-Staff was pleasant and addressed concerns
-In a less traveled, quieter, among residential high rise condo buildings section of the beach
-Near food, but not adjacent to, at least 10 minute walk, 4 minute drive
-Pool and Jacuzzi, and free pool towels
-Small retro arcade area
-Even though building is relatively new compared to other properties on the beach, the furniture in the rooms had a dated, yard sale or needed repair look (ie white wood dressers with many scratches in paint, torn cushions on chair)
-One of the elevators, and the hallway on the 6th fl had an odd smell
-Included breakfast was disappointing
-Tv service was poor
-Housekeeping performance varied
Bottomline: I would stay here again but expect short comings.
