"This was a really nice condo and the location was perfect! Owners were responsive and accommodating. The island was a step back in time as far as a natural setting. Explore the history of the island before your trip to get the most of your adventure. The girls in our group highly recommend the Gullah Tour with Miss Sally Ann. Daufuskie Life provided a great golf cart, essential for getting around the island and exploring. Freeport was great for sunsets, meeting locals and other vacationers, drinks and food. This was perfect getaway from the crowded beaches we are all used to. We virtually had the beach in Bloody Point to ourselves. Perfect for long walks. Also saw an abundance of wildlife."

"This was our first trip to Daufuski. This condo is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Beautiful sunrises and you can hear the waves from the balcony. We would rent again. The property is ideal for someone who wants to get away for a week of isolation. We were often the only people on a two mile stretch of beach outside the condo. It was typical to see one or two people walking, but not more. I counted a dozen people on the entire stretch of beach only one time during our stay. I suppose it could be more crowded in summer, but I am guessing it is similar. Notwithstanding the beautiful condo, you should know that Daufuski itself isn't for everyone. The condo is probably a 20 minute golf cart drive from the ferry dock. There is no real dining to be had on the entire island other than 3 or 4 walk-up service establishments with extremely limited hours - each of which is 10-20 minutes from the condo by golf cart. There is an eerie vibe on the island from numerous abandoned properties that you see when you drive around, including an abandoned hotel/resort, two abandoned golf courses, and old abandoned shacks/homes. Someone had big plans for this island at one time, but they never came to fruition. You're definitely stuck on the island for the night once the last ferry leaves (at 4pm?), so everything needs to be planned out in advance. Do your research before you come to Daufuski! I personally loved it, buy my family isn't so sure."

"We’ve stayed at Templeton Cottage a few times. It’s always very quiet and very relaxing. We love that it’s tucked away in the woods, and my wife is an avid bird watcher and we enjoy sitting on the upper back deck and looking out over the wetland and birdwatching. It’s close to the beach and tucked away just perfectly."
