      Beautiful property and gracious hosts

We were a family of eight people staying here for one week in the end of June to celebrate my parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Our group included six adults, a teenager and a two year old. There was plenty of space for everyone with four well appointed bedrooms and three bathrooms. We also appreciated the baby having a real crib instead of a pack and play. The property is gorgeous inside and out, we had wonderful weather so spent most of our time outside on the two terrasses or at the pool. It is a great place for children, with lots of space for them to run and play, protected from the road by a large hedge. There is a large grocery store close by and many excellent restaurants both casual and formal to try. We enjoyed a day trip out to Monte Isole, a visit to a local vineyard, and several scenic drives around lake Iseo and Garda. The most memorable part of our stay was meeting our lovely hosts, Francesco and Alba. I have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years but this was far and away the most genuine and warm welcome we have ever had. You truly felt like guests in their beautiful home. They stocked the kitchen with some basics before we arrived and were always on hand to answer questions or just share a glass of wine. They were especially sweet to our two year old daughter, sharing toys from their own grandchildren for her to play with and always greeting her with a kind word and a smile. This property and it’s hosts exceeded our expectations in every way.

        Exactly what we wanted

Our experience was wonderful. The property was better than expected. The pictures and description were accurate. Very conveniently located to the Autostrada for easy access to all of our various daily destinations such as Venice, Verona, Milan, Cremona, Bergamo. Very uniquely situated within town to provide plenty of shopping but secluded to give us a feel of being by ourselves in a rural country setting. Bedrooms were all very adequate for 4 couples. Plenty of air conditioning, hot water, places to lounge, dine and enjoy this beautiful setting. My only suggestion would be to provide an American style drip coffee maker and larger mugs for our coffee drinking style. Internet was sporadic due to the rural setting. We would absolutely stay here again and give Francesco a big thanks for creating a truly unique modernization of a historic property. All bedrooms are upstairs but a small modern elevator is provided. Exterior steps also provide access and this is what we use most of the time. Smaller children would require the elevator.

Gorgeous property and incredibly kind and accommodating hosts

We had a friend reunion and Francesco's home and were so happy with everything. The property is even more beautiful than in the photos and Francesco and his wife could not have been more sweet. The pool was a dream and the perfect place for a hot day. Thank you so much for opening your home to us!!

            Beautiful Farmhouse, Great Hosts!

Francesco and Alda are the most welcoming hosts that can be!. They go out of their way to provide info,( great restaurants!) and to make your stay a pleasant and unique experience. The house and the grounds were in great condition. Everything was very clean , with flowers on the table and a bottle of wine in the fridge ! Beds were comfortable and hot water plentiful. We had really bad luck with the weather , and so the huge galleries were perfect!!! We had 3 children with us , and Francesco and Alda made sure they had all they needed , even their grandkids to play with!!! The pictures on the site are exact . The area surrounding the farm is beautiful and there is plenty of short trips to incredible towns close by. This is a great location, a beautiful and comfortable house , but most of all beautiful and hospitable hosts! Grazie Francesco and Alda. We all hope to return soon .

              Fantastic vacation in Italy

All of those books and movies about vacationing in an Italian villa rely on a spectacular location. Francesco's farmhouse in Franciacorta really has that feel: a beautiful, well-renovated, lovely house - complete with pool, multiple decks, large wooden beams, plus a lovely kitchen. This was one of our most enjoyable, and definitely the most relaxing, vacations staying here. The location is great - you do need a car (or perhaps be an avid cyclist) to get around - the lakes, Bellagio, Verona, the Dolomites are all a short drive away - even Venice was a possible day trip. Fantastic location to base yourself to enjoy northern Italy. The lovely owners will direct you to the local grocery stores, butcher (get the prosciutto!) and the little producti down the street, which is run by a couple of the most charming Italian gentlemen, who will make sure no cheese goes u tasted, and that you do not leave with sub-par wine. While you share the house with the owners, the sound-proofing is strong, and you have complete privacy. The house has three levels, with the kitchen/dining/living areas on the bottom floor, and then bedrooms on the upper two (the 3rd story attic has one large bedroom). The kitchen has everything you need to cook reasonably elaborate meals for 8. There is air-conditioning, more than adequate for the heat wave we experienced, and the beds were comfortable. The upper floors are accessible by elevator. My husband uses a wheelchair, but can walk up a few steps, and the house worked very well for us. We had 4 couples sharing the place, and the bathrooms, bedrooms, and space worked well - never felt crowded. The Franciocorta region is worthy of many superlatives - suffice it to say that you will have a view of vineyards from the pool. Our vacation was spectacular - and the house had a lot to do with that. Thank you for your warm hospitality!
