1st of all I didnt understand the business model of Stay Alfred. Apparantly the company buys or leases units in buildings and rents them to short term customers, interesting. The buiilding owners/managers have nothing to do with your rental. This property is beautiful and the unit layout was spacious. We were attending a jazz festival and were to be joined by my sister in law and her husband the second day so the 2 bed, 2 bath unit was perfect. We arrived late on Thursday. The beds were made and clean. The end tables by the beds were clean and appeared to be new. The baths were well appointed and linen was top notch. The master tub was slightly discolored but otherwise okay. However the rest of the unit was filthy. The kitchen sink was dirty. The floors in every room had food crumbs and debris. The living room floor had sequins, a couple of cheap bracelets, and a false eyelash scattered about. Behind the couch there was a pile of drywall dust from an apparent new wall recepticle installation. The window sills had piles of dead bugs, and caked on dirt from the moisture that inevitably accumulates. They hadn't been cleanened in weeks since there was a receipt from firehouse subs from June 6 balled up.
I called the next morning about 8 AM was assured it would be cleaned up. I called again at 11 and 5. Same assurances. Our guests arrived to a filthy apartment. We came back at 11PM. No cleaners. Cleaners couldnt get in, no key. They have apologized and offered a partial refund.
