My hotels.com reservation said that there is free 2 hour late check out, and this was a main reason that I booked this hotel. After booking, however, the front desk made it immediately clear that they would not honor the late checkout. They didn’t even know what I was talking about when I mentioned it to them, and they had no interest in even looking at my reservation where it clearly states that it’s part of the policy. Realizing I would get no where with the front desk, I spoke to a hotels.com service rep, and they called the hotel to ask about honoring the late checkout. They said they would not, and that it is based on availability. Normally I would understand this, except the listing said nothing about the late checkout depending on availability, and also it’s clear that the front desk person had no idea that this was even in the posting. They just kept repeating that their regular checkout time is 11am, which I was already well aware of. Overall, very disappointed in the service at this hotel and also disappointed with hotels.com for not honoring the listing.
