"When one drives up first impressions are "oh dear". But keeping an open mind it's a gem of a hotel. The building is ex military on a very exposed elevated position. Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and engaging. The room was comfortable and clean. Good was pretty good too and not too expensive. "

"The property was absolutely ideal for my family and dogs when visiting Portland for a friends wedding. Helen was a very good host who responded quickly to communciation. The property was very clean and the decor has that lovely seaside charm. It catered to all our needs and a travel cot was provided for young children. The secure garden was brilliant for our dogs and young children, had the weather been better we would have used it a bit more. The location of the property is within very close proximity of a pub with nice food and the local Co-op is not far away. If you're lucky enough to get a space you can park free outside the house but if not there is plenty of free parking elsewhere. We very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. Thank you."

"I booked this for my 40th birthday and Post-wedding celebration, and the entire experience was a fairytale. The views of the Jurassic coast that the castle sits upon are breathtaking. The castle itself is a perfect size, just enough to get a little lost in. The management team (Tessa and Hannah) are great. I couldn't have asked for a better experience."
