The Waynesville Inn is a unique property. Our room was in the historic section - the original part of the inn which was built in the 1920s. The room was large and it had a nice balcony (although it was too cool for us to enjoy it). The bathroom was fine. We enjoyed the living room area of the inn, a large room with couches, a fire in the fireplace, a nice table for playing cards and even a jigsaw puzzle for the guests to work on. The breakfast buffet, which was included in our room price, was exceptional. The room was very large, there were many choices, the food was good, our waitress was very sweet (and good at her job) and they used real china and silverware. There are also a restaurant and bar on the property but we did not try them. This is an older property, almost 100 years old, and yes, some things need updating. Do yourself a favor and try the Waynesville Inn if you're in the area.
