McKinley Edwards Inn is located in Bryson City. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Nantahala National Forest, while The Storytelling Center of the Southern Appalachians and The Cottage Craftsman are cultural highlights. Great Smoky Mountains Railroad and Cherokee Bear Zoo are also worth visiting.
This is a charming hybrid combination of B&B and Resort Inn. Rooms are detached (from the common areas) duplexes on multiple levels. Ours was a mini-suite, with a large and comfortable living area and king bed. The common areas (main building) include a cozy lodge great room and a breakfast area and porch. Breakfast is extra but worth the price. There is no restaurant, but there are several excellent restaurants in town. The hosts, John and Janice, are just super nice, friendly and helpful. We will be back, and we highly recommend this place to visitors to Bryson City.
