My trip to Lloyds on the River was certainly a mixed bag. The motel, itself, was nice enough. The room was spacious enough. No bugs, trash or broken appliances and the like. The room had two large beds, flatscreen with satellite tv service, a mini-fridge/microwave/coffee pot, ac and heat, plenty of hot water and the bathroom was clean. The river view is amazing and the weather happened to be perfect. Those were the positive takeaways from Lloyd's. The areas where I would give constructive criticism are as follows. We came back to our room after going out for a meal and concert, and the parking spots by our room were all taken. Very rude and unacceptable when checking out. And our room had been halfway "cleaned" with trash all piled in the one trashcan by the door. Should have been taken before moving on to other rooms. If you want clean sheets/blankets/towels/washcloths and the like you're going to need to go request it, if you can find a staff member. When we showed up, nobody in the office and office locked. When we checked out, nobody in the office and office locked. One staff member/housekeeper did poke her head out and say goodbye and safe travels. So I thought that was nice of her. I immediately walked up and knocked on her door, intending to tip her 20 bucks as we left(even though the housekeeping service was below average.) She would not come back to the door even though she had just poked her head out 3 seconds ago. Lastly no steps off river deck, must walk around.
