To say I'm fickle is polite, at best, so when I blindly decided to go with this very charming inn. I knew I'd be taking a chance. I found this inn a perfect place to stay with my husband of 40 years. I gave this as a combination Christmas/birthday gift to him. As frequent visitors to the Smokies, we've stayed at many different places in Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg, Cherokee to Maggie Valley. This lovely inn takes the #1 spot for both of us. I always look for and expect charm and above all, cleanliness. I found both here. We had a room overlooking the beautiful rushing creek, which I loved. I love the sounds of rushing waters and had it not been chilly at night, we would have slept with the screen door secured to hear the stream. As it were, we simply sat in the rocking chairs for moments at a time to enjoy. Our room was very, very clean, as was the bath. We even had a cute Christmas stocking on the front door to greet us. A microwave oven and refrigerator were in the room, and as I drink too much diet coke, it was a relief to have a way chill my cokes made available to me.
With all being said, there were only two negatives about my stay here, neither being a deterrent to future visits. First, after we came in from an all day excursion into the mountains, we came in to find the beds were not made. Second, we had a ghost. Someone sat on the edge of my bed in the night, and shook the foot of bed.
All in all, we loved it and will stay the next visit as well!
