Cheap flights to Manila

As the capital of the Philippines, Manila provides visitors with a wide range of things to do. Visitors wishing to experience bustling city life can stroll through the downtown area and go on a skyscraper tour. Alternatively, the city contains historical landmarks, such as Fort Santiago and the Bonifacio Shrine. The city is separated into 16 districts that contain different attractions, people and cuisine.

Getting Around

Visitors that fly to Manilla, the capital city of the Philippines, will arrive at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL). Because the airport acts as a connection to other nearby destinations, it is often congested. Book a rental car with GPS, as the streets of Manila don't follow a typical grid pattern. Travelers can also take advantage of the Strong Republic Transit System; this railway network can get you around Metro Manila and a few neighboring districts. To get to other areas, such as Cavite or Bulacan, you'll have to take a cab or jeepney.

Hints and Tips

Manila is known for its tropical weather. Visitors looking to take a cruise can visit Manila Bay in the Port Area. However, it should be noted that Manila has a fairly long wet season that could affect your plans. If you are visiting between June and October, be prepared for the chance of plenty of rain.
