Great house, not so great communication
For the house, I thought everything was great. We had 9 people staying there, with 2 dogs and I couldn't have asked for more. There were more than enough bedrooms and beds for everyone. I will say though, the steps leading to the second floor were a little tricky to navigate. The part you step on wasn't as wide as normal, modern steps, so if someone in your party has problems with steps, this might be a bit of a burden. We had a 3 month old with us, and we certainly had to take our time going up and down with him. The house was missing some things, such as the paper towel dispenser was empty, and nothing to hand wash dishes with (but there was hand dish soap, but no dishwasher detergent), but nothing too major. However, I did find it odd that a groundskeeper kept coming to the house while we were there to check on things outside. It is a bit weird to be sitting there and have someone just poking around the property. We were only there for 2 days, they could have easily waited until we left. Communication with the owners BEFORE we paid was great. Any question asked was quickly answered. However, once the final payment was made, I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone. I found that to be disappointing. All in all, it was a nice house, and if the need to visit that area came up again, I would stay there. But, I would make sure to get all of my questions out of the way before I paid..
