    About this property

Hole in the Rock Bungalow in Downtown Carrabelle

This unique vacation suite is situated in a convenient location. This apartment is an attached duplex, with me living in the other side of the duplex. I have a harlequin and a blue Great Dane. Even though they are docile pets, they can act a fool when guests arrive in my absence. For this reason, I have removed the shared wall in the apartment and added more noise insulation as well as having permanently removed a connecting door.I have created a barrier so that my dogs don't interact with guests. All of this being said, is to give you the opportunity to decline if you might be uncomfortable or fear large dogs. The apartments private keyed entry opens into a 3 room vacation get away with all of the privacy of home. The living/kitchen area features a wall of windows to view the sidewalk passers by or close the blinds for complete privacy. There is a full size refrigerator. The kitchen is fully equipped with all of the cookware and dishes needed. The bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a full closet in the bedroom. There is also drawer space. The bath has a spacious shower but no bathtub. You are within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, live music/raw and steam bar. Live music is Thursday-Sunday at Fathoms. Food and libations are available. I usually get a pound of yummy steamed shrimp. There is the Crooked River Lighthouse to visit and climb. Boating and fishing are great in both the fresh and salt water. I have mens and ladies bikes available. I love to ride my bike to Carrabelle Junction for breakfast. Then, I usually can't resist a bike ride to the waterfront to see who's catching fish. There are many fresh and salt water kayaking spots also. The WWII Museum of Carrabelle is in the process of building a new facility across from the public beach. I have a gas grill for your use as well as outdoor furniture and a fire pit.

    Great Price

I really enjoyed northern Florida. Nice old school town. I was in walking distance from town and there was a nice coffee shop. My room was clean and well decorated. I'll be back!!!

    Very nice stay in Carrabelle

Loved staying here with Tina. Boyfriend and I came down for our 5th anniversary and this was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend stopping by the John Gorrie House in Apalachicola while you're here.

    5/5 Excellent

Good location for pets near a very pet friendly area

The unit was very cozy and Tina was great and very accomodating. My sister and I had a couple larger dogs of our own, about the size of labs, which can be very difficult to take many places, but everything worked out well. The unit was very clean and everything you could need was furnished. There was a park just about a block away to take the dogs when they needed to heed the call of the wild, and the beach in the same town was very pet friendly as well; supplying most needed things to clean up after the pooches (trashcans and bags). The town itself has a dollar store nearby and a couple gas stations, but it keeps it quiet and comfortable. My sister remarked that just about everyone we saw had dogs that they were walking when we went everywhere. We had a very good time and can't appreciated Tina's hospitality enough. Thank you for helping me get my sister somewhere to build a sand castle for Christmas!!!

    4/5 Good

    Quaint and comfortable

My wife and i stayed one night while checking on some property in the area. The apartment was small but had everything we needed, the decor was obviously carefully chosen and a fun mixture of styles. The 2 dogs were not a problem at all, we only saw one through the window and they hardly barked at all. The rooster in the yard did crow in the middle of the night once, but it was short lived. There is some road noise, probably the most notable issue. That is the trade off for a location close to town. I would not hesitate to stay again, the price is very fair.
