The property is on the quiet side of the lake, so no thru traffic. There are a few houses nearby but plenty of distance for privacy. The houses past us (2?) seemed to be empty so it felt like we were in a dead end street (perfect!).
The house was well stocked with everything we needed. However, we enjoy our morning coffee so I would have preferred a regular size coffee maker. No problem, I just brewed 2 pots.
The house was clean except for some cobwebs & spiders which my husband said it’s to be expected in a cabin on the lake. The couch/futon definitely needs to be replaced. It was hard to get comfortable to read a book. There were a lot of pillows provided so I used those to help get comfortable.
My husband used the kayak & enjoyed it. The porch faces the lake and it was nice to sit, relax & drink my coffee and watch the sunrises. We did a lot of site-seeing. I think I nicknamed our vacation the lighthouse & lobster tour. I found a place in Rockland called Claws. It was on the water & they had a great menu, including awesome huge lobster rolls. Ate there 3xs! Lots of lighthouses along the coast and the area is just beautiful.
The cabin has a small shower stall but great water pressure. Lisa was always prompt to answer my questions and she did well with creating a quiet haven for those looking to get away.
