    About this property

    Charming Downtown Rockland Victorian

    Adults-only vacation home in Rockland
Stay in the house in which Louise Nevelson was taught piano in high school as stated in her biography “A Passionate Life”. We are located just off the main drag in downtown Rockland, directly across from the Vinalhaven and North Haven ferry terminal. Perfectly walkable to all the restaurants, galleries, and attractions of Rockland. We have two off street parking spots available. The bed is a queen sized SleepNumber which adjusts to your own preferred firmness. Many historical details are present throughout the house. Originality built in1868 by Civil War General, Davis Tillson, the house was purchased in the 1890’s by a very prominent Rockland family, the Bird’s. The Bird family live in this house until the 1970’s. We live on the other side of the house and are very accessible if situations arise. Every stay with us helps us restore this beautiful Victorian back to her former glory. If you are a history buff, we have done the research and are more than willing to share!
Guest accommodations at this vacation home feature separate bedrooms.

A really lovely place to stay

We could not be happier with our stay at this great spot. Our host was terrific and the accommodations and location were absolutely the best. We didn’t want to leave!
