Love, love, love.
This house was perfect for my husband and me. We rented the lower floor for seven nights. The breeze was constant, keeping the house cool, I never saw a mosquito, and the view...well, look at it! You can lounge under the shaded part of the porch or lay in the sun in the morning. We walked down the path behind the house three times during our stay. We swam in the river and enjoyed a picnic. I can only imagine what this beach looked like before the hurricane. It had to be lovely. This house has both 110 and 220 outlets which was very nice. It doesn't have a hair dryer or a television, but I took my own dryer and my iPad and used the wifi. It doesn't have a washer but it does have a very handy drying rack. The kitchen could use a bit of attention but we aren't picky people. I found that (after driving to other parts of the island) that the north part of the island is so very peaceful in comparison with the towns. The village of Calibishe was handy and had a nice restaurant, Coral Reef. Conroy, the caretaker is a jewel. He checked on us every day and was so pleasant and easy to talk to. I feel this was a good value. We absolutely loved our stay!
